Texas is one of the more expensive states when it comes to forming a Texas limited liability company.  Most states charge between $50-$150 but a Texas LLC filing costs $300 for the base filing. If you need to expedite, it could cost more.  Another different aspect of Texas is that the formation documents require more information than in other states.  While Texas does not have state income tax, a Texas limited liability company is subject to a franchise tax each year.  Still, given the tremendous benefits of using an entity like a Texas LLC, the costs and fees are well worth it.
