When I was in high school every girl was getting those name jewelry bracelets that had letters on them. Every girl had her name on either her bracelet or on her necklace. Things have escalated since then and now even guys are doing this. Not quite the same way as the girls but none the less guys are branding themselves with male jewelry with their name on it. In a way its out of rebellion against being just a number. People want to be known for the individual they are not the numbers on their check or just their social security number.
